After the fatal car accident involving Big Bang member Daesung, activities are expected to inevitably be disrupted for some time.
Agency YG Entertainment said, “After the accident and being investigated for 3-4 hours at the police station, (Daesung) has returned to the hostel to rest”, adding, “he is in shock and worrying greatly.”
According to YG, Daesung has no particular schedule for some time. The show that he is currently a regular on, SBS ‘Night After Night’, will not be recording this week, as explained by the agency. After the end of the 19-day concerts in Japan, Big Bang was on vacation until about next week.
However, the police investigation that is expected to take time looks to affect Big Bang’s future activities. In particular, in the case of if the death of the motorcyclist was caused by Daesung’s car accident, personal detainment may be inevitable.
The police are trying to find out the details of the first accident of the motorcyclist hit by Daesung’s car, and an autopsy has been scheduled to discover the cause of death.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Big Bang's Daesung has been reported to be involved in a serious car accident, with the other party involved being pronounced dead at the scene. It was reported that at 1:40AM in Seoul, Big Bang's Daesung hit a motorcyclist in his Audi. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Youngdong Police have announced that they are currently investigating the singer, as there are suspicions of Daesung being drunk at the time of the accident.

UPDATE 1: It's been revealed that Daesung was not under the influence of alcohol and is currently speaking to police about the accident. Reports have revealed that the man on the motorcycle was hit by a hit-and-run, not from Daesung himself. When a taxi driver stopped to assess the situation and help the motorcyclist, Daesung crashed into the taxi.
There are also conflicting reports that the taxi, once being hit by Daesung, crashed into the motorcyclist killing him. However, it is not clear whether or not this actually occurred and how serious the motorcyclists condition was after being hit by the original car.

UPDATE 2: Police have officially released a statement regarding the car accident. Seoul's Young Deung Po Police Station revealed, "Big Bang's Daesung crashed into a passed-out motorcyclist with his car on the morning of May 31st at Yanghwa Bridge. The motorcyclist was already passed out due to a previous accident when Daesung crashed into him."
Police also contradicted reports that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. They confirmed that he was alive, saying, "The motorcyclist has been admitted to the hospital where his death has yet to be confirmed. We are investigating whether or not alcohol was involved."

UPDATE 3: Photos of Daesung's Audi A4 have been revealed through Korean press. The photos show his car's front badly damaged by the car crash. The photos also show a tow truck also picking up the car, it is evident from the photos that the crash was not simply a "tapping", but a serious collision.
YG has yet to make a statement on the accident and there has been no information as to how involved Daesung is in the accident. Currently, it is believed that he is being talked to by Seoul's Young Deung Po Police.
UPDATE 4: On the 31st at 1:40 AM, Daesung hit the back of the taxi in front of him while driving down Yanghwa Bridge in Seoul. It has been revealed that fortunately, the taxi driver has had no major damage done to him.
If we go by YG Entertainment's side of the story, Daesung was driving down the first lane, and the taxi in front of him suddenly drove over to the second lane and then quickly reversed back into the first lane, causing Daesung to collide.
As soon as Daesung got out of the car accident, he asked the taxi driver if "he was okay," and the taxi driver said, "I'm not the problem right now. On the first lane, there's a passed-out motorcycle driver who is bleeding, so I tried to escape the situation and then tried to stop to examine it."
After that, Daesung and the taxi driver and currently at the Seoul Police Station being investigated starting from 4:50am.
The police are currently investigating whether Daesung actually hit the motorcycle driver. According to the police, it has not been identiifed whether the driver is dead.

UPDATE 5: Naver News is stating that the motorcyclist is dead, and an autopsy is being scheduled to determine cause of death (other sources are saying that death is still not confirmed).
Police official is quoted saying, “The exact cause of death is not yet known, but Daesung’s charges will vary depending on whether or not his accident caused the fatal injury.”
Daesung was reportedly driving at 60km (37.3miles) at the time of collision.

2.Daesung Car Accident Being Investigated by National Forensic Service [NEWS]
“The motorcyclist has been confirmed to be dead but we’ll have to do more investigation to find out if he was killed by Daesung’s car or by a prior accident,” the police said. “Daesung will have to prove the motorcyclist’s death was not caused by his crash in order to avoid any liability issues.”
For a more accurate investigation, the police are currently reviewing the CCTV screens while the damaged motorcycle and some footage of the accident have been sent to the National Forensic Service for closer examination.
In the meantime, YG Entertainment said in an official statement that “Daesung is currently in a heavy state of shock and grief over the accident he could’t avoid. He broke down in tears in concern over the victim… He will follow any police investigation but he is in great pain over this issue.”
According to police reports, around 1:30AM on May 31st, Daesung hit a motorcyclist lying on the ground from a previous accident at Yanghwa Bridge. In trying to avoid the accident, Daesung had to change lanes and crashed into a taxi from behind. The taxi driver however did not suffer any injuries.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
The police is currently investigating whether a hit-and-run accident was involved prior to Daesung and the taxi hit the motorcyclist, and they are waiting for autopsy results of the victim as well.
Following today’s accident, it will be inevitable for Big Bang and Daesung to make changes to their promotional activities. Big Bang recently finished their Japanese Tour Concerts and is currently in a resting period. But a lot of their individual activities and new album production plans will have to be altered due to today’s accident. Daesung currently is a regular on SBS “Night After Night."
3.Will G-Dragon pen a song for Taiwan’s Show Luo? [NEWS]
The two shared a brief conversation, where they learned that they had the same American dance teacher. Since Show is going to be kicking off his Japanese advancement in July, he asked G-Dragon if he could give him a song in order to pave a smoother path for his promotions.
It’s not known if G-Dragon confirmed or not, but the two promised to meet again sometime in the future for further discussions.
As always with tabloid news, there weren’t any quotes, but if there’s something to this article, then who’s looking forward to their collaboration?

8. How did the background for ‘She’s Gone’ come about? From the beginning I had the stage in mind for the video of ‘She’s Gone.’
So our priority wasn’t to produce an awesome music video, but to create a video with straightforward meaning and expression that would highlight the stage and the music, and I think that is what inspired those who watched it.
As much as G-Dragon was inspired by a movie to write the song, the inherent ‘cruelty’ found in the song was not literal but part of a fantastical and aesthetic fiction, and so the decision to create this video like a scene from a movie came naturally.
Also, this performance is not a story of a provocative ‘murder,’ but a way of expressing the crooked image of a man who chose a theatrical way of loving, and so in order to portray a world that was far from reality, a scene from a cruel fairy tale, we chose the backdrop of a time that is not the present.
The opening of the title screen as if it were a movie, the monotone of the picture with the contrasting red of the blood – which looks like red paint – were all ways to separate the story from reality.
And because the song ‘She’s Gone’ is not a cold and cynical song, but one that carries the burning feeling of a man who yearns for a woman until the very end to the point where he cannot control himself, I thought it would work well with a classical and romantic theme.
9. I’m curious about the candle in ‘She’s Gone.’ Originally we had G-Dragon open by smoking a cigar.
The scene with the candle was a scene that I shot in the middle of filming. Whenever I think of an image in between cuts I like to shoot it right then and there, and that’s how the candle scene came about. Because GD’s good with improvisations, he was able to pull off scenes that I came up with on the spot without a hitch.
So there are some cases where such improvised scenes make it to the final cut, and while it wasn’t intended this way, I used this cut while I was editing the age-12-and-under version.
10. About ‘She’s Gone.’Of all the work done for ‘She’s Gone,’ I remember the first rehearsal the most. Because both Jiyong and I were really busy during the time before the concert, we had only been able to meet to discuss the stage for ‘She’s Gone’ very briefly once at the general meeting. And so I went to that first rehearsal half worried and half excited, and I remember clearly getting a really strong impression from how smoothly everything went at the first run-through, from the transition from video to the stage, to the emotional expressions and stage directions.
I want to say that those who did not see ‘She’s Gone’ at the concert will not be able to understand this feeling 100%. The video and the stage, along with the connection with the audience all led to an incredible experience in which one could feel the energy from GD’s explosive emotion.
If there’s one thing I regret it’s that those who did not see ‘She’s Gone’ at the concert would interpret the video by itself and distort the essence of the performance.
- As a director, what do you believe to be the story and feel behind ‘She’s Gone’?
The image I got when I first heard the song was a film noir centered around a murder mystery. GD could have played two roles of both cop and murderer, or he could have been a character conflicted between a duality that he himself wasn’t even aware of. If it had been made into a music video, it probably would’ve had a much more complicated storyline.
11. About the ‘Gossip Man’ video. Filming for ‘Gossip Man’ began without storyline. We began filming with only the general frame of doing a parady of Kim Gun Mo’s outfits and backgrounds.
When filming began, G-Dragon was tired from his schedules the day before, but as time went on he came alive and had fun with the parodied wardrobes. And he did something different for each cut without repeating any of the same gestures or movements. Honestly speaking, at this point I left it all up to G-Dragon and simply rolled the film.
‘Gossip Man’ is ultimately a song that makes light of a heavy issue. We focused on that point for the video centered around humorous and bright expressions through parody. But I think there’s some dark humor to be found here, as one finds it hard to outright laugh at a performance in which [G-Dragon] is calling himself gossip man.
12. What are your thoughts or impressions about G-Dragon?I’ve only seen G-Dragon’s industrious and professional sides, so I don’t know who is as a person. One thing I did feel as I stood by him during his solo activities is that the things he has to endure must be even greater than anyone could imagine. There are times when he appears mature beyond his years, which is probably why I feel this way.
And after working with G-Dragon, it’s true that my opinion about men as a subject matter has changed. I thought, hm… Men are also capable of such visuals, this kind of emotional expression… But such men are probably quite rare…
13. About G-Dragon’s acting. When GD stands in front of a camera, I open the door to possibilities other than what was discussed on the storyboard. He isn’t afraid to come apart in front of the camera and shows many different sides of himself. It can’t be easy not to be self-conscious of these things in front of so many cameras and staff members, but his freedom always made for new things on set.
14. How is it like filming?Honestly it is mostly difficult… On day two of filming for ‘She’s Gone,’ G-Dragon was already exhausted and he had a departing flight the next day, so everyone was on edge. We were filming the scene with the candle and coincidentally GD blew it out with his nose, and all the tension broke and everyone started laughing. After that G-Dragon showed off his skills in blowing out candles with his nose and I remember the atmosphere on set becoming lively again.
15. What project are you most attached to and which scenes do you treasure the most?I have to say the projects I’m most attached to are ‘Butterfly’ and ‘She’s Gone.’
It was pure luck for me to able to do two such contrasting projects with a single artist.
If I were to pick my favorite scenes from each project, they would have to be the final cut from ‘Butterfly’ where GD is sitting on the roof, and the outtro of ‘She’s Gone’ where GD first appears twirling a jack knife while thunder rolls in the distance. We filmed this in one long take and the camera movement along with GD’s acting and the timing of the thunder all fell in place perfectly, and we ended up with a really great scene.
16. About the director, Kim Hye Jung.Rather than looking at the reality within a shot, I am more affected by creating the things you cannot see in reality. That’s why I think many people feel that my work is like a fantasy. You can say that music videos themselves are fantasies in that you create a visual world for a piece of music that you cannot see with your eyes.
If there was a difference between myself and other works and music videos, it would be that I consider the cooperation with the artist and the synergy that comes from that cooperation to be extremely important and effective.
I normally enjoy visually imaging while listening to music, so I don’t ever really enjoy the music for itself. I find myself listening to music that can inspire me visually, without regard for the genre or musician.
When ‘Butterfly’ was released after two and half months of work, I was happy but was also met with this inexplicable feeling of nothingness. I could only see parts that were lacking so for awhile I had a hard time watching the final product. When ‘Shine a Light’ concert was aired in theaters, I was embarrassed just sitting in my seat. Ultimately, I am not very cool. ^^
17. Is there a project you’d like to work on with G-Dragon in the future?After filming ‘She’s Gone,’ President Yang talked to G-Dragon about doing a short film, and that if there was the opportunity it would be nice to make a 15-minute short film in which we would be able to showcase his acting that didn’t make it into the short videos. If this ever becomes a reality I think it would be a really fun project to work on.
From G-Dragon’s solo album, I would like to put together a music video for ‘She’s Gone’ that is completely different from the concert video.
18. How do you feel now that the interview is over?Interviews are harder than I thought! ^^;
But I enjoyed looking back on my past projects. I would like to do this again once I put my regrets about my debut projects ‘Butterfly’ and ‘She’s Gone’ behind me and create even better projects.

2.Big Bang is resting after Japan tour and preparing for the new album [NEWS]
The 5-people idol group, Big Bang is currently on their vacation. After they have finished their Nagoya concert which was held on 19th . It marked the end of their Japan concert tour ‘Love & Hope’.
They have finished the tour with great success and Big Bang is now taking a rest domestically. On 25th, a staff of Big Bang has talked to the reporter of Starnews,’ Big Bang plans to enjoy their holiday by travelling.’ He continued, ‘they will have enough time for recharging themselves before they work on their new album.’
From the solo and united activeies of GD&TOP, Taeyang, Seungri and Daesung last year, then they went further to release Big Bang’s new album and have been active in performing both in Korea and overseas.
Big Bang plans to work continuously throughout this year. In the meeting that G- Dragon had with the reporters earlier, ‘ We will work with a variety of overseas artists for the new album and through this collaboration, we want to do an extraordinary musical experienment.’ he outlined the new music style by saying so.Big Bang has held their 10-day Japan tour in a total of 3 places, Osaka, Chiba and Nagoya.
