2.Big Bang dances early in the morning for Japan [NEWS]
Big Bang had to get up early in the morning to perform for its Japanese fans.

An online community recently had a video posted under the title ‘7:00 a.m., Big Bang dances’. The video was from the April 4 broadcast of Fuji TV’s Mezamashi.

On the day of the broadcast, Big Bang had to deliver a splendid performance and perfect vocals early in the morning. Daesung especially stood out by approaching a male anchor to ask him to ‘put your hands up’.

After the performance, Big Bang said, “All of the members are happy that they’re on the show, but they’re still sleepy because it’s early in the morning.” The MCs also joked, “You’re sleepy but that performance was still great.”

Netizens left comments on the video such as, ‘Is that like dancing on Korea’s Morning Wide show?’, ‘Dancing early in the morning looks great but still it’s funny’ and ‘I burst out laughing when Daesung asked the announcer to put his hands up’.

Big Bang will be touring Yokohama, Osaka, Saitama and Fukuoka after starting off its Big Bang Alive Tour 2012 in Japan in Aichi from May 17-18. An approximate total of 130,000 fans are expected to gather for the tour.

4. Shinhwa members compare themselves to Big Bang and other idol groups [NEWS]

Shinhwa may have 14 years of idol group experience under its belt, but the members admit there are some things the second generation boy bands simply do better.

The Shinhwa members were guests on the April 5 open studio broadcast of Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News, where they were asked how they thought the group compared to the younger boy bands in terms of beastliness, dance synchronization, unconventional performance concepts and even in the members’ confidence in going nude.

During the ‘Shinhwa Up & Down’ segment of the show, the members were first asked to put their thumbs up if they thought they overflowed with more ‘beastly idol hormones’ than idol group 2PM and their thumbs down if they disagreed.

All of the members put their thumbs up confidently except member Andy, who said, “I’m not a beast. I’m just a dol (rock),” drawing laughs from the other members.

Dongwan added, “Like the phrase ‘beastly idol,’ the 2PM members are a mix of the beastly concept and idol [concept], but we’re just beasts. You can’t beat us.”

The members were then asked how they thought they compared to idol group Teen Top in terms of dance synchronization. They seemed less confident this time around, as all of the members except Andy, put their thumbs down, indicating they couldn’t beat the younger competition in this category.

Member Andy showed some tough love towards his protégés, putting his thumb sideways.

Jun Jin said, “Because we’ve been around for longer, in terms of feel, we may be ‘up,’ but I think we lack a little in terms of dance synchronization compared to the Teen Top members.”

Shinhwa was then pitted against idol group Big Bang on the topic of unconventional performance concepts. All of the members except Dong Wan put their thumbs up, indicating they thought their concept was stronger,

“We were just weird—because of me,” explained Dong Wan. (He's the one in the middle with white face paint.) “The members were, of course, cool. [But] Big Bang is really unique and cool.”

Finally, the Shinhwa members, who shot a nude spread early on in their careers, were asked how they thought they measured up to idol group SHINee, whose members recently made waves with their shirtless comeback photos, in terms of their confidence in going nude.

While the other members were all thumbs up, member Hye Sung stuck his thumb down, saying, “When we took the photo, as you can see, I stood in the back.” He continued, “Compared to the other members, I remember being embarrassed.”

The comparison segment starts around 5:50 in the video on up:

1. How the Big Bang members get their girls [NEWS]
The Big Bang members are freely handing out information these days, but who knew they'd be so open about how they seduce women?

Big Bang appeared on the March 18 broadcast of SBS’ You and I to perform the singles from its fifth mini album.

During a talk session of the show, the MCs boldly asked the members how they approach the women they like. G-Dragon first said that he would show his affection openly by staring at her strongly and so on.

Daesung said he would suddenly pop up in front of her and say, “It’s the first time.” He explained that it was a good way to start an easy conversation as she always answers with the question, “What do you mean?”

T.O.P. was the most daring of the members. He said he would put his cell phone in the woman’s back pocket. When Lee Hyori pointed out, “Then you would be touching her butt,” he corrected, “Then I’ll put it in her front pocket,” but the only thing he got out of the statement were boos that his correction was even weirder.

Taeyang chose a more timid way; he chose to ask a fellow member for help, and for Seungri, T.O.P. took it into his own hands to reenact Seungri’s methods. He then started staring someone up and down, drawing out more boos from the audience, and Seungri had a hard time trying to explain himself that he had never done so.

Which way would work on you? Or do the methods not matter as much as the men?

1.Yang Hyun Suk explains ‘Why YG Artists avoid TV Appearances’! [NEWS]
YG Entertainment was in the spotlight for being selective against certain TV shows or channels. It was revealed that YG artists were focusing on appearances on SBS channel only.

Regarding the criticism YG Entertainment has received, Yang Hyun Suk stated, “If stars schedule appearances as much as they are requested, they might be scheduled for way too many appearances. Not only do the stars get exhausted but their back dancers, stylist, manager and all the staff become exhausted. And it’s not like they can appear on each event looking the same way. They have to look unique and different for each appearance. Sometimes when stars appear on too many shows, they begin to look the same in each appearance, which is a problem.”

And “Instead of scheduling as many events possible, we decided to choose and focus on the shows that the artist will be appearing in. We’re trying to schedule about two appearances per week for the stars. For the stars to perform in their best condition, they need to maintain their strength but if they get overwhelmed, they won’t be able to show perfect performances. Even if I get criticized, it just has to be done this way for the artists.”

Even though Yang Hyun Suk is being criticized for being selective against certain shows, he explains that it is for the best. He will not overwhelm and exhaust the stars by over scheduling them. Instead, Yang Hyun Suk wants his stars to perform at their 100% to show their fans a perfect performance.

YG’s style of management is completely different from that of a newly debuted star. Most stars try to make most appearances as possible regardless of how their conditions are. Although Yang Hyun Suk is receiving criticism for his style, he is also receiving respect for wanting to show the artists’ 100% instead of tiring them out.

He also stated, “YG stars usually don’t attend award shows. If the stars attend all the award shows just to receive an award, they would have to attend an award show every day until at the end of the year to attend or perform at the award shows. It’s one of the things we differentiate against for the sake of the artists.”

BIGBANG - FANTASTIC BABY M/V

1. Big Bang's Seungri Withdraws from University [NEWS]
Earlier today, TV Chosun’s “Entertainment in TV” announced that BIGBANG’s Seungri dropped out of Chung Ang University, where he was majoring in theater and acting studies.
According to a representative from Chung Ang University, “Seungri recently visited the campus and withdrew from school. Because of his BIGBANG activities, he could not attend his classes. And as a result, he’s been placed under academic probation several times. He probably made the decision because it was hard to focus on his entertainment and academic career at the same time.”

In 2009, Seungri and Girls’ Generation’s Yuri made headlines for being accepted to Chung Ang University, beating out some tough competition. Back in 2006, Seungri had also withdrawn from high school due to his activities with BIGBANG. However, he passed his GED (General Equivalency Diploma) in 2009, earning him his high school graduation status. Meanwhile, BIGBANG is dominating music charts in Korea and an impact throughout the world with their latest mini album “Alive.”

TV Chosun’s “Entertainment in TV” will air its segment regarding Seungri’s withdrawal from college tonight, March 9, at 9:50PM KST.

Update from YG:
YG Entertainment officials confirmed, "Recently, Seungri withdrew from Chung Ang University. While Seungri still has a strong affection for his school, he had not been able to fully commit to his education because of various BIGBANG and overseas activities. Additionally, because of the upcoming world tour, we realized that Seungri would not be able to attend school. After careful consideration, he decided to leave." Officials added, "Seungri still has a thirst to learn and has enrolled at the Global Cyber University to attend classes online."

3.Big Bang’s ‘Comeback Show’ vs. KBS’ Music Bank – Who Will Emerge the Victor? [NEWS]
It’s a battle for viewership ratings!

SBS’ special broadcast of Big Bang’s Big Bang Comeback Show will be airing opposite KBS’ weekly Music Bank on March 9 at 6 pm (KST) and 6:10 pm respectively.

The Big Bang Comeback Show will be mainly be composed of Big Bang’s concert performances from its recent Big Show concerts, which were held from March 2 through March 4, in support of Big Bang’s newest mini album, Alive. T

While some 39,000 fans attended the concerts, the performances and behind the scenes footage were all captured by SBS′ cameras for all those who were unable to attend the concert - and even for those who just wanted to relive the joy of seeing Big Bang back on stage.

However SBS’ Big Bang Comeback Show is set to air at the same time opposite KBS’ weekly Music Bank leaving viewers torn over which show they will watch.

In one corner is Big Bang, one of the biggest groups of K-Pop, who′s returned after a year and a half break, filled with tumultuous events. The group’s recent concert was met with rave reviews by those who attended, raising the anticipation for those who have only been able to experience the new album through songs and music videos.
In the other is Music Bank, which boasts a mighty line-up of some 25 teams, including miss A, MBLAQ, FT Island, Tony An, John Park, Nine Muses and more.

Given the rather shaky relationship KBS has with Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, some are questioning if the decision to pit Big Bang’s show against KBS was done as an intentional snub. Regardless of the motive though, many are agreeing it’s going to be a tough call to make that night.
