1. Big Bang's Seungri Withdraws from University [NEWS]
Earlier today, TV Chosun’s “Entertainment in TV” announced that BIGBANG’s Seungri dropped out of Chung Ang University, where he was majoring in theater and acting studies.
According to a representative from Chung Ang University, “Seungri recently visited the campus and withdrew from school. Because of his BIGBANG activities, he could not attend his classes. And as a result, he’s been placed under academic probation several times. He probably made the decision because it was hard to focus on his entertainment and academic career at the same time.”

In 2009, Seungri and Girls’ Generation’s Yuri made headlines for being accepted to Chung Ang University, beating out some tough competition. Back in 2006, Seungri had also withdrawn from high school due to his activities with BIGBANG. However, he passed his GED (General Equivalency Diploma) in 2009, earning him his high school graduation status. Meanwhile, BIGBANG is dominating music charts in Korea and an impact throughout the world with their latest mini album “Alive.”

TV Chosun’s “Entertainment in TV” will air its segment regarding Seungri’s withdrawal from college tonight, March 9, at 9:50PM KST.

Update from YG:
YG Entertainment officials confirmed, "Recently, Seungri withdrew from Chung Ang University. While Seungri still has a strong affection for his school, he had not been able to fully commit to his education because of various BIGBANG and overseas activities. Additionally, because of the upcoming world tour, we realized that Seungri would not be able to attend school. After careful consideration, he decided to leave." Officials added, "Seungri still has a thirst to learn and has enrolled at the Global Cyber University to attend classes online."

3.Big Bang’s ‘Comeback Show’ vs. KBS’ Music Bank – Who Will Emerge the Victor? [NEWS]
It’s a battle for viewership ratings!

SBS’ special broadcast of Big Bang’s Big Bang Comeback Show will be airing opposite KBS’ weekly Music Bank on March 9 at 6 pm (KST) and 6:10 pm respectively.

The Big Bang Comeback Show will be mainly be composed of Big Bang’s concert performances from its recent Big Show concerts, which were held from March 2 through March 4, in support of Big Bang’s newest mini album, Alive. T

While some 39,000 fans attended the concerts, the performances and behind the scenes footage were all captured by SBS′ cameras for all those who were unable to attend the concert - and even for those who just wanted to relive the joy of seeing Big Bang back on stage.

However SBS’ Big Bang Comeback Show is set to air at the same time opposite KBS’ weekly Music Bank leaving viewers torn over which show they will watch.

In one corner is Big Bang, one of the biggest groups of K-Pop, who′s returned after a year and a half break, filled with tumultuous events. The group’s recent concert was met with rave reviews by those who attended, raising the anticipation for those who have only been able to experience the new album through songs and music videos.
In the other is Music Bank, which boasts a mighty line-up of some 25 teams, including miss A, MBLAQ, FT Island, Tony An, John Park, Nine Muses and more.

Given the rather shaky relationship KBS has with Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, some are questioning if the decision to pit Big Bang’s show against KBS was done as an intentional snub. Regardless of the motive though, many are agreeing it’s going to be a tough call to make that night.
